Product Description
Square Pipe
Square tube is a term for square and rectangular pipes, which refers to steel pipes with equal and unequal sides. It is made of rolled steel strip after process treatment. Generally, the strip steel is unpacked, flattened, curled, and welded to form a circular tube, which is then rolled into a square tube and cut to the required length.
Advantages of Square Pipe
Structural stability: The four boundaries of the square tube are relatively parallel and have an angle of 90 degrees, making the square tube have good structural stability. This makes square tubes commonly used as supporting materials, frames, and other structural elements in the fields of architecture and engineering.
Material saving: Since the cross-sectional shape of square tubes is square rather than circular, square tubes with the same cross-sectional area can be relatively thin, thereby saving material costs. This is very important for the construction of large structures and cost control of projects.
Convenient processing: The square tube has a regular shape and a flat surface, making it easy to cut, weld, bend, and other processing. It can be customized as needed to meet specific project and design requirements.
Design flexibility: Square tubes have good design flexibility and can be used to create various shapes and structures. By combining and connecting multiple square tubes, a rich and diverse framework, supporting structures, and decorative elements can be constructed.
Strong compressive strength: Due to the pressure distribution on all four boundaries, square pipes have better compressive strength compared to other shapes of steel pipes. This makes the square tube exhibit good stability and endurance when subjected to vertical or horizontal loads.
It should be noted that square tubes also have some limitations. Compared to circular tubes, square tubes perform slightly worse when subjected to bending and torsion forces. In addition, in specific application scenarios, circular pipes may be more suitable for smooth flow of fluid in pipelines. Therefore, when selecting pipeline materials, comprehensive consideration should be given to specific application needs and design requirements
